Registration Questions

Do I have to be a CERF member to register/attend?

No, you don't have to be a member; however, CERF members receive a discounted registration rate which more than covers the cost of membership. Plus you get a full year of CERF membership benefits! You can join or renew your membership at the same time as your registration all in one form.

Which registration should I choose?

Consult the member type page and select the registration that corresponds to your membership, experience, and qualifications.

What's included in registration for CERF 2021?

Conference registration includes access to all scientific programs, including:

  • Keynote address
  • Plenary sessions
  • Concurrent oral sessions
  • Poster sessions
  • Social events
  • CERF Inclusion Event
  • Family and Career Panel
  • Student networking activities

Can I register multiple attendees at one time?

No. All members have personal user IDs and passwords so they must log in and register separately to get the member rate, and non-members are also identified by individual emails and must register separately. If you have information to register for multiple people, please make sure to log out and log back in as another user after each registration, otherwise you will overwrite the prior registration.

My company cannot pay for my registration until next quarter/fiscal year. Can I register now and ensure my space and pay later?

If you cannot pay for your registration now, you can select, "Invoice Me" on the payment page. Our registration system will send you auto-reminders about your open invoice. All payments must be received by 1 October 2021.

When does registration close?

Registration does not close, however the “Invoice Me” option will close on Friday, 1 October 2021. After that date, you can only register and pay via credit card.

Technology Questions

Do I need to download Zoom to participate in CERF 2021?

For the best event experience, we recommend that you download the Zoom Client for Meetings ahead of time: https://zoom.us/download

The web browser client will download automatically when you start or join your first Zoom meeting, but we recommend that you download the application prior to the conference using the link above for a smoother, more seamless experience.

What are the Zoom system requirements?

View Zoom System Requirements for PC, Mac, and Linux.

My company has restricted Zoom usage. Will I be able to still attend the conference?

Yes! All the videos are embedded into the virtual platform so as long as you have a conference account, you'll be able to view any of our sessions. The only restriction you might face is limited participation in Networking Sessions and Private one-on-one meetings. This is due to the fact that Zoom needs access to your camera microphone, company restrictions will limit your ability to participate via audio or video.

Will the CERF 2021 programming be recorded?

Yes. Our live programming will also be recorded for those in various time zones who have difficulty attending a live session.

Our goal is to make the virtual discussions as dynamic as possible and to offer alternative opportunities for interaction between speakers and participants.

Can I pick any sessions to attend? Can I move from session to session during the virtual conference?

Yes, just like you would in-person, you are able to attend the sessions of your choosing and you are able to move from session to session.
