CERFers On The Run

Monday, 13 November, 2023 – Thursday, 16 November, 2023

CERFers On The Run will provide an opportunity to CERF attendees to run together during the CERF Biennial Conference. CERFers On The Run will meet at 6:15 AM at the Oregon Convention Center at the corner of NE Holladay and NE Martin Luther King Blvd, near the Martin Luther King Statue. Participants will take a short walk around the Convention Center to Peace Memorial Park, and onto the Eastbank Esplanade path. The path provides a safe out-and-back, traffic-free route up to 3.2 miles in length (the end at Carruthers Street is approximately 1.6 miles from the start point). Runners can turn around at any point, depending on the distance they would like to run.

We will organize pace groups, so that runners may, if desired, run with other attendees running at a similar pace. The run will take place during “civil twilight.” Runners are encouraged to wear reflective items of clothing, and/or bring a headlamp or flashlight if they own one.

Refreshments will be provided for returning runners in front of the Convention Center near NE Holladay and NE Martin Luther King Blvd.
