CERF Student Volunteer WorkerEarn a stipend to help cover conference registration costsCalling all students! Students are encouraged to participate in the Student Volunteer Worker program which provides a stipend towards registration fees in exchange for volunteer help at the conference. Participants may also apply for a Travel Award but we anticipate that students will receive support from only one source. By serving as a Student Worker, you get to meet and network with hundreds of students and professionals in estuary and coastal science, and a cool CERF Student Worker t-shirt! To participate in the Student Volunteer Worker program, simply check the box that says “I am interested in participating in the Student Volunteer Worker program” and indicate your shirt size within the conference registration form. If you are already registered, please email [email protected] and we will update your registration. The deadline to indicate your interest is Friday, August 4, 2023. In late summer/early fall, you will receive a request to sign up for your Student Volunteer worker shift(s). Some of the Student Volunteer Worker opportunities include but not limited to:
There will be a Student Volunteer Worker Orientation on-site to go over roles and responsibilities, get to know each other, and ask questions. More information about when and where this orientation will take place will be sent out later this year. Eligibility & Requirements*:
