To increase accessibility of the CERF conference, and to maximize the impact of presentations, we are providing a virtual registration option. Virtual attendees will be able to view select recorded events, view recorded talks and posters after the conference, and share their research as a recording. Presentations by virtual attendees will NOT be shown live at the conference; they will only be available as recordings in the archival library after the conference. There will be a separate call for virtual presentation abstracts later this summer.

Presentations will be available in an online archival library for six months after the conference. This will allow virtual attendees, as well as in-person attendees who missed presentations, to view them after the conference. Based on CERF 2021 and the 2022 Joint Aquatic Sciences Meeting, we have found that there are hundreds of post-conference views of archived presentations, providing your research with greater visibility and reach. All presenters will be required to record and upload their oral presentation or provide an electronic version of their poster by the conclusion of the conference.

Virtual Registration Cancellation Policy

As a virtual attendee, you will have access to the livestreamed keynotes and plenaries that will also be recorded and included in the post-conference virtual presentation library. Virtual attendees are not eligible for refunds due to cancellation. A refund is only available for those who will be changing their status from a virtual attendee to an in-person attendee.


Virtual Attendee Status Upgrade Policy

All requests to change your status from a virtual attendee to an in-person attendee must be emailed into the CERF Office at [email protected]. If you have already paid to attend virtually, you are eligible to be refunded your virtual conference registration fee less a $25 status change fee. Please email the CERF Office to request this change and receive instructions for registering and refund eligibility.
