Silent Auction

The CERF 2021 Silent Auction is virtual this year and will raise funds for the CERF Odum/Nixon Fund to support CERF student participation as well as professional development activities. A variety of items will be on virtual display through our BiddingOwl Auction sitehttps://www.biddingowl.com/CERF   

A wide variety of items will be available for bidding including original artwork, books, scientific instrumentation, pottery, crafts, home décor, and CERF memorabilia donated by members. Join us for a good cause, and great deals on highly prized items!

How can I donate an item for the Silent Auction?

If you will be donating an item for the silent auction, you may indicate so on your conference registration form. If you would like to donate an item after you have completed your online registration, you may contact the CERF office for assistance in adding your item for donation.

You may also download and complete the CERF 2021 Silent Auction Donation form and return to Cassondra Armstrong ([email protected]) or Jessica Reichmuth ([email protected]). Completed forms are due by Wednesday, 20 October 2021. Donation forms can be accessed here:

Other important donation information:

  • Shipping prices should be included in the suggested bid amount since the donator will be shipping the item to the winning bidder
  • Please provide up to three pictures of the donated item as well as a brief description of the item so we can post this on our auction site (there is a place for this on the form)
  • Shipping cost for awarded Silent Auction items will be reimbursed to the donor. Email your shipping receipt to the CERF Office ([email protected]) with the subject line "2022 Silent Auction Reimbursement: ITEM NAME". Be sure to include in the body of the email the full name, amount, and address for reimbursement or attach the ACH form (digital transfer) for reimbursement.
When will the auction take place?

The auction will open at 9:00 AM ET on Monday, 25 October and close at 11:30 PM ET on Wednesday, 24 November. All bids must be placed prior to the close of the auction. Bids will take place using a third-party site, biddingowl.com

How do I collect my winning bid?

All payments will be collected through our BiddingOwl Silent Auction website. Winners will be notified by email and/or text by BiddingOwl at the end of the auction. All payments must be received by 5:00 PM ET on Friday, 26 November. If payment is not received at that time, items will automatically be awarded to the next highest bidder who will be immediately contacted.
