Online registration for CERF 2025 is now open! You do not have to be a member to attend our conference; however, CERF members receive a discounted registration rate. If you'd like to become a member before registering, join now! The Biennial CERF Conference, taking place 9–13 November, offers coastal and estuarine scientists from all over the world the opportunity to come together to network, learn, attend intriguing sessions, and connect with new colleagues and friends.

Workshops
CERF Conference Workshops represent an opportunity to receive valuable training on topics ranging from effective communications to technical web-based software. We encourage all attendees to take advantage of low-cost, high-quality training opportunities. Sign up for the workshop(s) of your choice when registering for CERF 2025.

Optional CERF 2025 Participation Programs
Interested in any of these programs? Don't forget to sign-up when registering for CERF 2025.
Highly visible volunteers serve as liaisons between attendees and organizers, to ensure that all attendees have a safe, welcoming, and enriched conference experience.
Mentorship Program
Mentors (mid- to late-career CERF attendees) help guide mentees (students, early career professionals, and first-time CERF attendees) through the CERF conference; both mentors and mentees can sign up.
Volunteer Judging for Student Competition
Volunteers are needed to judge student presentations for awards.
Student/Early Career Participation Awards - CERF Membership Required
Students and early career professionals are eligible for grants to offset CERF 2025 expenses such as travel, accommodations, and meals.
Student Worker Opportunities
Students may apply to receive a stipend in exchange for volunteer help at the conference.
Voluntary CERF Contributions
Donate to any of CERF's funds.
Envionmental Footprint Offset Program
Help CERF offset the environmental impact of our conference by donating to our voluntary environmental footprint offset program. All donations will go to Groundwork RVA.
Cancellation/Refund Policy
After registering, if you are not able to attend the conference, we encourage you to send a substitute attendee. You may substitute at any time, even onsite at the conference. However, if you must cancel after you have already paid, we can refund your conference fee, less a $75 cancellation fee. All written cancellation requests must be received by 17 October 2025. Please send these requests to [email protected]. No refunds will be issued after 17 October 2025. No refunds can be made by CERF for lodging, airfare, or any other expenses related to attending the conference.
Nonpayment Policy
Full payment of conference registration fees is required before the start of the conference. If full payment has not been remitted on or before 3 November 2025, the meeting details will not be sent to the registered attendee(s). Once payment has been received, meeting details will be released, but this may not be in time for the first session.
